The style of shoes you choose for your wedding day are endless. Brides have a selection from strappy sandals, dyeable pumps or even less traditional footwear like wedding flip flops or trainers. There are numerous types of shoe fabrics such as satin, silk, velvet and lace. Whatever you decide, make sure it matches your ideal wedding dress. With our selection below, we guarantee you find your perfect shoes!!
How Tall?
The most important is the consideration of how tall you want to be? How tall is your fiancé? You must remember to consider both your heights and how tall you would like to stand on the day. This will then determine whether or not you buy low heels or high heels.
What Comfort?
It is perfectly viable to marry in any register office in England or Wales, as long as you live in either country. You both need to be resident in your individual registration district for 7 days before giving notice. You must then wait a further 16 days before the wedding date.
Low heel wedding shoes
You have plenty of choice of wedding shoes and there are many types of low heel wedding shoes. From flat bridal sandals to ballet slippers, you will find a large variety of choices out there. If you want to be comfortable you could also consider wearing wedding flip flops. You can even get wedding flip flops made especially for the bride with the words bride written on them or even in diamante stones on the straps. Think about your own personal preference and look at the style of your dress before selecting which flats you purchase.
Medium heel wedding shoes
Medium heel bridal shoes are one and a half inches to two and half inches high. Medium heels tend to be the most comfortable height for a women. They add a couple of inches in height and it is not so high that it puts too much pressure on the feet. Wedding shoes in this length are harder to find. There are some bridal sandals in this style but there are two main types of shoes to consider in this height range and they are low hedges and mules with a kitten heel. Both of these styles are comfortable. Something with a small heel won’t make you wobble as much.
High heel wedding shoes
The final option and probably the one most brides go for on their special day is the high heeled bridal shoes. These shoes are three inches or higher. Some women may even opt for a larger heel up to 5 inches. There are plenty of options in these shows including stilettos, wedges, t-straps, strappy heels and platforms. Remember you will be doing lots of walking, standing around and most important of all, dancing. The high heels requires the bride to have a good balance and requires them to walk around in shoes of this height on a regular basis. Remember if you do buy a second pair of shoes to dance in then make sure they are of a similar heel length as you do not want your dress to drag on the ground.
