Wedding Shoes and Tiara Tips

Apart from the dress the tiara and shoes are the next important of your wedding outfit. These items help make your outfit whole.

Do not take those decisions lightly, remember you are going to be in these shoes for about 12 hours or more on a day full of standing, walking around, waltzing, posing and mingling and to not to mention the unenviable task of walking down the aisle with everyone looking in your direction. Now how many times have you worn a tiara? Do not think it is easy, having a tiara on your head all day is difficult.

• Think about the fabric you are going to have for your shoes, Fabric shoes are more forgiving than leather so choose material like satin of soft suede. A good tip is to buy shows with a style of cut-away uppers, this will help you avoid the pinching and chafing of the widest part of your foot.

• Shoes with slingback straps can stretch and easily slide off if you decide on wearing stockings. Make sure you wear these shoes with bare legs or change the style of show with an ankle step.

• Why not consider having two pairs of shows? One pair of heels that will make you feel elegant and tall, especially when walking down the aisle and then another of shoes like ballet flats that will be more practical and comfortable for when you are strutting your stuff on the dance floor.

• Remember if you are the same height or taller than your husband to be then do not wear too high heels so that you are not towering over him for the photos etc.

• Practice, Practice, Practice, walking in your dress and shows, both to wear them in and also for you to feel comfortable so that you do not trip on your special day.

• If you do not get a chance to wear them much before the special day then use a scouring pad to help roughen the soles of your shows, this will help to make them less slippery.

• Tiaras need to match the style of the dress and at the same time as making you look beautiful. If you have pearls in your dress then why not copy the style in your tiara.

• If your bridesmaids are wearing headpieces make sure yours is larger and more detailed than theirs, it‘s your day after all.
