A Guide To Wedding Dress Shopping
We want to make the experience of finding your dress truly memorable. We therefore have the following advice for our brides. Start looking for your dress 6 to 12 months before your wedding. If you don't have this much time come in and see us and we will work with our designers to ensure you have your dream dress for your wedding day Keep an open mind. Whilst it is very helpful for our consultants if you come along with ideas from magazines, be prepared to try on different styles and fabrics.
Ensure you book an appointment. We allow 2 hours for each consultation to give you ample time to relax and enjoy the experience. We are more than happy to arrange more than one appointment for you. If you want to browse through the collection please phone in advance to ensure that there are no scheduled appointments and that the shop will be open. You will have the benefit of the master fitting suite and viewing gallery, but we recommend that you only bring 1 or 2 close friends or family.
Too many people can create conflicting opinions and make your decision even harder. We recommend that you wear white / flesh coloured underwear including a strapless bra if you want to get the most realistic fitting. We will store your gown for you until a few days prior to your wedding. Some other shops will expect you to take it home as soon as it arrives in store which in some cases could be 6 weeks or more.
Avoid the temptation to buy a dress on line. If it seems too good to be true then it probably is! Buying on line runs the risk of not receiving the dress on time, a poor imitation with no comeback to an authorised retailer, badly fitting and hidden costs.
Don't compromise on your wedding dress and spoil the most important day of your life.
