Asian Bridal Wear

A wedding is the most important event in an Asian brides life. It is more than a dream. An Asian bride will always be looking forward to this day. This does not mean that they are dying to leave their parents home, but it is a beginning of a new life. Nowadays even the son of the house leaves on his wedding day, it is not just the girls. The old custom is dying.

Asian bride are very much concerned about the dress they will be wearing on the day. The search for the wedding dress begins before they have even found the groom. Every time they watch an Indian movie, they will keep a snapshot of the dress the actress is wearing in their head, or they will keep an eye on other bridal dresses at the weddings they attend, and keep a close eye on film and bridal magazines for the latest design. They will visit bridal shops for a quick look. So really, the search for the dress will start a very long time before anything else.

The Asian bridal business is a billion dollar business, especially in India. A bride will travel to Indian cities in search of a dress, and they are willing to pay from £1,000 to £10,000 for the right dress.

Asian wedding decor normally depends on the bridal dress and the colours. The colours are very important, and once the colours have been chosen, the style of the decor is the next step.

Asian bridal designs are often based on Indian Bollywood films, or perhaps a Maharani theme. Or perhaps family traditions will be ordered six to eight months prior to the wedding, and the final touch on the wedding dress before the event, just in case the size is changed.

Once the dress is worn, it will go into storage for a long time. But this is not an issue because it is a memory for life, and although the value of the dress will go down, or may become worth nothing, emotionally the value will increase as time passes. It will be the most valuable and important dress in the wardrobe. It will always be there. No one can touch it, or dare to remove it.

On the other hand, some brides decide to give their dress to charity.
