I can’t believe that I do what I love for a living! I love photographing weddings. Yes, they never run on schedule, things always have a habit of changing, they can be super frustrating but still I love capturing them. There is nothing like showing a bride & groom a collection of fantastic images that they will treasure for a lifetime. Knowing that my work will hopefully be shown to their grandchildren is a fantastic feeling. I put my heart and soul into every wedding. It’s never just another day at work for me and I never forget that this is your big day.

I always try to make every wedding different with no real pre-conceived ideas. Basically, I make it up as I go along! Of course I know about weddings, photography, people and all the technical stuff but the vast majority of my work comes from inspiration on the day. I often photograph at the same venue a few times in a year but the collection of pictures never look the same. That’s because every wedding is unique as are the couples. Start talking to me about weddings and you will see how I feel about them. Helen, my other half must get very bored of me talking about them. I like to see myself as a wedding professional that happens to be a photographer rather than a frustrated fashion or landscape photographer that feels they have to shoot weddings.

I am a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA), The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographer and the Master Photographers Association. I was recently highly ranked in a worldwide competition by the WPJA and regularly achieve gold awards from the SWPP.
